A Quechua name which means partridge, in Inca times Pisaq was an administrative center and one of the big villages along the sacred valley, Pisaq has mixed architecture Pre Inca and Inca, which means Incans were descendants of Wari Culture.
Its location is on the top of the mountain and next to there is a big cemetery of the Inca time. We suggest visiting Pisaq for the whole day because it has a trail that connects all around including the religious area where there are buildings for ceremonial porpoises.
Highly recommended and we do these day trips every day.
